Smoothie Bowl

Yields2 Servings
 ½ cup milk, plus more as needed
  cup cooked oatmeal, cooled
 1 large fresh or frozen banana
 ½ avocado, optional
 2 cups frozen strawberries
 Select a few of these garnishes to top your smoothie bowl with: chia seeds, hemp hearts, pumpkin seends, nuts, granola, avocado, fresh mint and almost any fruit imaginable!

Blend cooked oatmeal (any amount would add some creaminess) with liquid of choice (milk, nut milk, water, juice, Greek yogurt, etc.) until very smooth. You can of course omit the oatmeal but it adds luscious smoothness to the dish.

Add and blend some avocado (it adds the creaminess, but leave it out, if desired.) Add bananas and frozen strawberries and process the smoothie really well adding more liquid as required. The goal is to add as little liquid as possible to make the smoothie very thick.

Pour in a bowl and garnish with the toppings of choice in a decorative manner. Serve right away.

Change it up! Add kale or spinach to the smoothie. Experiment with different frozen fruit as well as different garnishes.
