This is a good marinade that I often use for my steaks. Very delicious and flavourful. Let the steak marinate for at least a couple of hours in the fridge but no more than 14 hours.
Combine all of the marinade ingredients together. Place in a large Ziplock bag, add your steaks of choice, squeeze out as much air as possible, seal the bag and allow to marinade, refrigerated, for 2-10 hours. Turn the bag with steaks over once in a while and massage the steaks if desired.
This could also be done in a container, but airtight Ziplock bag will infuse the steaks with the marinade better.
Preheat the grill. While the grill is preheating, dry your steaks with paper towels - this will help to get a nice sear on the steaks; if not dried - you will end up steaming the surface. Discard the marinade and the Ziplock bag. Grill your steaks and enjoy.
Switch it up! How about balsamic vinegar instead of lemon juice? Minced garlic and finely diced onions will be a nice variation (feel free to decrease garlic/onion powder, if using fresh.) I've also added 1/4 cup Ginger Ale. Add other things like fresh ginger. A tablespoon or so of brown sugar (careful, extra sugar may cause more browning/more flare ups.) Some Dijon... Limitless possibilities!
