Jalapeno Poppers – A Perfect Appetizer!

It’s simple, unassuming and oh so ever easy to make. There’s nothing particularly exceptional about it. But if you love crispy bacon, spicy jalapenos and creamy cream cheese fillings – this may just be for you. This recipe combines such delicious elements in such a simple way!

 8 oz cream cheese, at room temp (that's a regular package)
 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
 10 jalapenos, halved
 ½ lb bacon, cooked and chopped (it will still be baked so don't cook it too crisp)
 ½ tsp kosher salt
 ¼ tsp pepper
 1 tsp garlic powder
 ¼ green onions, cliced

Preheat the oven to 400°.

Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise and scoop ou most of the membranes and seeds to control the spiciness level (leave some of these in depending on how spicy you like your food.)

Combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder and green onions and mix until thoroughly mixed. Stuff your 20 jalapeno halves with the cheese mixture. Top with bacon.

Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and jalapenos are softened. Enjoy!
