Garlic Bread

Who doesn’t like garlic bread! So delicious! Fantastic side to serve with shrimp scampi.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened

  • salt

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 6 garlic cloves, pressed

  • 1 TBSP parsley, finely chopped

  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded (can also use 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400F. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
  • Mix butter, olive oil, garlic, parsley and a pinch of salt until well combined. Spread over the bread. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes or so, until golden and lightly toasted.
  • Slice into 1-inch slices, serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • For soft soft soft garlic bread: another way to do this bread is to slice the bread before baking it into 1-inch slices without going all the way through. Then putting a teaspoon or so of the butter mixture between the slices. Wrap with aluminum foil and bake about 15 minutes at 350F for soft garlic bread version.
